overview

Our product program offers a range of versatile monitoring probes and fixation devices to meet your application requirements. It is important to understand the advantages of each of the various fixation types in order to best choose the ideal match for your needs.

With the size adjustable DiaMon®, the elastic headband, Lam racks and the adhesive set probes can be permanent affixed to patients.

All fixations are special designed for DWL® probes.

The fixations DiaMon®, elastic headband and Lam rack are optionally available with click&stay or screw-topped fixation.

With adjustable probe positions on the fixations various possibilities of the temporal window are available.

The advantage of using click&stay is the possibility to quickly open and fine adjust the probe by pressing the mounting ring of the probe fixation.

DiaMon®

The DiaMon® is comfortable and especially well suited for use on awake patients. It is special designed for functional monitoring and physiological tests.

The comfortable fit allows will-tolerated patient examinations of several hours. The DiaMon® does not contain any metal parts (only bio-compatible material) which can be advantageous in radiological examinations.

2 and 2+2.5 MHz monitoring probes can easily be affixed uni- or bilaterally with our unique click&stay or screw-topped probe fixation choice.

The adjustable probe position allows for optional adjustments over a large range in temporal windows to get the perfect fit and optimum results for every patient.

DiaMon® is size-adjustable in several areas including forehead, crown and posterior areas and is able to accommodate head circumferences of 55 - 74 cm.

Probe fixation components are resistant to ultrasound gel and perspiration and can be cleaned with most standard disinfectants.

Head pads are disposables and are attached or replaced easily and quickly with hook and loop fasteners.

elastic headband

The elastic headband is available in two sizes, for adults and children.

The elastic headband is made entirely of plastic, and is therefore extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

It is especially suited for use where the patient is awake, for example during a Functional Test, Emboli Detection, CO² Reactivity Test.

Patients compliance is particularly good as the fixation has no unnecessary pressure points and is made of a soft, pliable material. In addition, the hearing of the patient is not impaired by using ear plugs, as with the LAM rack.

The elastic headband does not contain any metal parts and can thus be used in the X-Ray, CT or MRI without any image quality loss.

The patient simply has the probe removed from the fixation, goes to the CT. MRI or X-Ray and can have the probe reinserted in the Fixation upon his return without the need to search for an ultrasound window again.

The silicon bands for fore-head and  back-head are size adjustable. To fix the adjustment levers there are three threaded bushes to your disposal which can be combined as you like. This enlarges the area in which the probe can be positioned.

2 and 2+2,5 MHz monitoring probes can uni- or bilateral be fixed with click&stay or screw-topped fixations.

LAM rack

The Lam rack fixation is a light weight probe holder which has a fixation point over the nose, like a pair of glasses, and has two metal bars over the ultrasound window of the temporal bone.

The fixation is held firmly in place by two ear pieces which are inserted into the ears. Its ease of use, stability, and variable positioning makes this an excellent fixation device for a multitude of monitoring applications.

It is of particular advantage that the LAM rack has no parts going to the back of the head, this means that for patients who are in a coma, or are confined to bed, there is no uncomfortable pressure points created by straps or bands at the back of the head.

The patient’s head does not need to be raised in order to apply the fixation, making it an excellent device for use in the operating room or intensive care unit.

All types of LAM racks will be delivered in a set of two sizes (A + B). The size B design is also suitable for children > 3 years old and adolescents

  • A = large – for head circumference 55 – 65 cm
  • B = small – for head circumference 50 – 55 cm

There are four types of LAM racks

  • standard
for patients in the ICU or OT, unconscious or intubated patients. Use for physiological tests (e.g. CO² reactivity)
  • neurosurgery

for use during Neurosurgical procedures. The fixation arm is formed downwards and away from the surgical area

  • carotid surgery
    for use during carotid endarterectomy
  • mandibula

for patients where the nose cannot be used as a fixation point, for example by nose injuries, nose surgery etc.

2 and 2+2,5 MHz monitoring probes can uni- or bilateral be fixed with click&stay or screw-topped fixations.

The used material is very resistive and can be cleaned with all standard disinfectant.

additional fixations for hand held probes

For all LAM racks additional probe fixations for hand held probes are available.

adhesive sets

The adhesive fixation is an alternative method to fix monitoring probes in ICU, Stroke Unit, operating room and for long time monitoring on unconscious patients.

Since all parts are only made of plastic its also possible to use them together with the MRI probes  in the X-Ray, CT or MRI (like the elastic head band).

2 and 2+2,5 MHz monitoring probes can uni- or bilateral be fixed with screw-topped fixations.
