The emboli differentiation software module is unique:
It is the only clinically proven TCD software to discriminate between gaseous and solid emboli.
 
Physics teaches us that with gaseous emboli the amplitude of the reflection depends strongly on the insonating frequency. With solid emboli, the reflection amplitude is almost constant.
 
The emboli differentiation software takes advantage of this phenomenon and is able to simultaneously process two different insonating frequencies 2 and 2.5 MHz by using special developed and patented 2+2.5 MHz multi-frequency probes.

 
Utilizing this technique, in combination with the digital Multi-Gating technique and a series of sophisticated algorithms, emboli can thus be detected and classified as either gaseous or solid due to the different reflection at 2 MHz and 2.5 MHz.

The emboli differentiation software uses a unique graphical display to present the acquired date. The graph shows the number of gaseous and solid emboli as well as the number of artefacts, and the intensity ratio of each signal. The audio and spectral signals are stored continuously. This enables easy re-analysis of the data in offline mode. The intuitive playback panel allows the data to be easily managed.

The TCD Simulator is a combination of a detailed cerebral hemodynamics model with simulated Doppler, CBF and other hemodynamic monitoring instrumentation.
 
Thanks to recent development in computers, it is now possible to represent detailed hemodynamic events in real time - this was previously only possible using supercomputers or analogue circuits to solve the differential equations.  


The author of this interactive program is Dr. Rune Aaslid -- who co-introduced TCD in 1982 and has contributed with numerous publications and 2 books on Transcranial Doppler. 

The Virtual Reality Model has been integrated with e-book text to give a comprehensive course in Cerebral Hemodynamics and Transcranial Doppler. Even 3-D models of the anatomy of the cerebral arteries are included to illustrate the hands-on ultrasound probe handling.

MediColor is a picture and finding documentation system for function diagnosis which was developed by MEDNOVO for usage in hospitals.
 

MediColor represents the digital connection between finding data of picture giving or diagnostics medical devices and patient, examiner and hospital data. This connection is realised by MediColors HL7 interface to HIS which allows data exchange between both systems. In addition to that there is an interface to EPR and a GDT/ XML connection which realises a communication with medical devices such as picture given or diagnostically devices.
